At just 16 years old, he took on a gigantic wave, winning the XXL Award and attracting the attention of the global surfing community.
In 2021, he rode the biggest wave ever surfed at Teahupo’o, after a nine-hour wait (see photo), just five days after dislocating his shoulder for the first time.
In 2024, he won the Teahupo’o Pro trials.

Kiara Goold

Born and raised in French Polynesia, Kiara Goold has been surfing since the age of eight. She has established herself as one of the most promising young talents in the World Surf League, both as a junior and now as a pro.
She has won trick competitions in pools.
In November 2025, she won the WQS event at Sunset Beach (Hawaii), beating all the top surfers in the sport.
